JEE exam commences in Saudi Arabia
dubai: The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE-Main) commenced in Saudi Arabia on Thursday, the Indian mission said. The engineering entrance assessment is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). “JEE (Main) 2026 examinations have officially commenced today in Saudi Arabia, with arrangements in place to ensure a smooth and seamless conduct of the exams,” the Indian Embassy in Riyadh said in a post on X. It extended full support to the NTA and the designated Examination Centre to “facilitate the process and assist the candidates throughout”. “Wishing all students the very best for their exams and great success ahead!” it said.
Nepal to operate special flights to bring back its nationals in Gulf
kathmandu: Nepal’s national flag carrier will operate special flights for three days starting Friday to bring back its nationals stranded in the Gulf countries due to the ongoing war in the region. According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a Nepal Airlines flight will depart for Dubai on Friday at 23:15 (local time) and return to Kathmandu early Saturday. On the morning of April 5, a flight will leave for Dammam in Saudi Arabia and return to Kathmandu at noon on the same day. The decision was taken following a meeting on Tuesday attended by senior officials from the Minister for Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, the CAAN, and Nepal Airlines.
