LAHORE: Daughter of disqualified premier Nawaz Sharif has denied reports of Kulsoom Nawaz, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz's (PML-N) candidate for NA-120 by-polls, been diagnosed with blood cancer and said that she was suffering of an early stage of Lymphoma which is a cancer of
lymph nodes.
In messages posted on Twitter, she stated that her treatment has immediately begun and since it was diagnosed at an early stage, doctors have asserted that she would be fine.
Maryam Nawaz thanked well-wishers of the family for their prayers and support.
"Drs (Doctors) hopeful that since it is diagnosed at an early stage, its (it is) curable," she wrote. She elaborated that the NA-120 by-polls candidate was suffering of the ailment in left side of her neck.
On the other hand, it was announced in a press conference conducted by railways minister Saad Rafique and law minister Rana Sanaullah in Lahore earlier on Wednesday that Kulsoom would return to Pak within two weeks. The ministers cleared that there was no recommendation the political party to consider any other candidate.
