53-vehicle pileup kills four in China

Beijing: Four people died in a 53-vehicle pileup on a freeway in China's Yunnan province on Monday, the police said.
The pileup occurred at 6.10 a.m. on the freeway that connects provincial capital Kunming with Chuxiong, also in Yunnan, Xinhua reported.
People died after falling off a highway bridge while trying to move to another lane, according to the traffic police.
Three people suffered minor injuries. The freeway was temporarily closed to traffic with more than 80 people stranded.
