World Clubfoot Day was celebrated in the capital at Delhi Secretariat. 3 June is celebrated as World Clubfoot Day. The minister for education Kiran Walia was the chief guest at the occasion.
The clubfoot project was started in 2010 when Walia was the minister for health. Around 3,300 children are enrolled in 11 clinics in 8 hospitals and are receiving free clubfoot treatment.
The eight hospitals that are treating the club foot children are Chacha Nehru Bal Chikitsalaya Hospital ,Lady Hardinge Medical College- Kalavati Saran Childrens Hospital ,Deen Dayal Upadaya Hospital ,Maharishi Bal Meeki Hospital ,St. Stephen’s Hospital ,Safdarjung Hospital, AIIMS and LNJP
