Work on expressway in full swing for F-1 race

Noida Chief Executive Officer on Wednesday directed the project engineers of Greater Noida Expressway to ensure that all streetlights were functional and beautification process in adjoining areas was completed before the the Formula 1 race, scheduled to be held in October.

Noida CEO Sanjiv Saran visited the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway and asked Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited authorities to provide a separate feeder for the important route to help it remain free of power cuts.

A few mishaps have been witnessed on the expressway during the night hours.

The Buddh International Circuit is likely to host the Formula 1 race in the last week of October.

Earlier in the day, CEO held review meeting at his office.

RITES gave a detailed presentation of a traffic plan for the smooth flow of vehicles during the construction of metro rail line from Botanical Garden to Kalindi Kunj and City Centre to Sector 62.

CEO expressed displeasure over slow progress of projects related to new fly-overs and foot over bridge.
