Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit on Monday stated that DTC would provide free ride in the buses to the lady passengers (female passengers) on the occasion of Bhai Duj on 15 November 2012.
The lady passengers would be allowed free travelling in Non-AC, DTC buses which are operating within Delhi or destined to towns within the National Capital Region (NCR) between 8 am to 5 pm on that day. This facility will not be available on AC and Inter-state buses. Transport Minister Ramakant Goswami stated that the decision has been taken to facilitate women in reaching at the places of their brothers.
