A 25-year-old woman was kidnapped and gang-raped by three men in a moving car in South Delhi’s Vasant Vihar area. Few hours after the incident, all the accused were arrested and sent to judicial custody.
The complainant, who is a friend of the victim, made a call to the Police Control Room at around 3.15 am on Wednesday when the girl was abducted by three persons in a Polo Car. According to the complainant, while they were walking towards Munirka at around 3.15 am, three men crossed them. Within few seconds, they pulled her friend inside the car and when she tried to save her, they pushed her and drove off.
A senior police official said: “The complainant who made the PCR call managed to note down the registration number of the car. After finding out the whereabouts of the owner of the car, a team reached Geeta Colony.” All the accused persons including a man with his brother-in-law and his friend were nabbed.
Meanwhile, the victim who hails from Himachal Pradesh and currently residing in Munirka area was abandoned near Poorvi Marg. She told police that she was gang-raped by all three of them in a moving car and they also threatened her of dire consequences.
