In yet another incident of crime against women, a 24-year-old woman was allegedly gang raped by four persons, including one known to her, in a west Delhi locality. The police have arrested all the accused. The victim was sexually assaulted last night by the four accused after the girl had come to meet one of them who knew her for sometime now.
The incident came to light in the wee hours of Thursday when a PCR van stopped a vehicle with tinted glasses in Burari in north Delhi and found a girl and four men inside it. Though the driver sped away to escape the police net, police chased and stopped the vehicle. ‘The girl told us that she was gang-raped by the four men when she had gone to meet one of the persons whom she knew. She went to Swaroopnagar in west Delhi to meet the person but he took her to a nearby area where he and his friends sexually assaulted her,’ a police official said, adding that all the four accused were arrested immediately.
The arrested were identified as Mohammed Shakil alias Ali, Mohammed Irshad, Mohammed Abid and Sachdeva, police said, adding that the girl knew Shakil and went to meet him. The girl said she was assaulted again in the car till cops stopped the vehicle. Officials said the girl, who is from West Bengal and lives with relatives in Rohini, was sent for medical tests and a report is expected soon.
YOUTH HELD FOR SEXUAL ASSAULT ON 15-YEAR-OLD
A youth was arrested for allegedly raping a 15-year old girl in Kotia village, 36 km from Rewari, police said on Thursday. Ved Prakash Yadav was produced in a Mahendergarh court, which remanded him to 14-day’s judicial custody.

A 23-year-old woman has accused her former landlord’s son of raping her after taking her hostage.
The incident was reported from Shakarpur. The accused has been arrested. In her complaint to the police, the victim stated that on 23 January, her former landlord’s 30-year-old son, identified as Naushad, took her to an unidentified place, drugged her, raped her and held her captive for 12 days.
A woman accomplice is supposedly involved as well.
