After living with her boyfriend for five years, and bearing his son four years ago, a 28-year-old woman from Northeast has lodged a complaint against him, alleging that she was raped repeatedly on the pretext of marriage.
According to the police, the couple were in a live-in relationship and lived in Shakarpur area of east Delhi. The victim has a four-yearold son with her boyfriend, Ashwin, who works with a private firm. ‘According to the girl, Ashwin promised her of getting married soon. But later he refused’ said a police official. On Monday, the girl lodged a complaint against her partner. A medical test was also conducted to confirm the allegations. Ashwin has been arrested from the capital and sent to judicial custody.
