A 33-year-old woman has accused a lawyer and his two acquaintances of allegedly gangraping her inside a lawyer’s chamber in Patiala House Court on Monday.

According to the police, the woman  is fighting a divorce case against her husband Avtar Singh. The victim has alleged that her husband's lawyer R K Chaudhary, called her to his chamber on the pretext of discussing the case. Her sister-in-law Dimple and Dimple’s husband  Subodh escorted her there. Chaudhary's assistant Sushil, who was also present, made her sit, following which, Dimple tied her up with a dupatta, while Subodh held her down. The victim has alleged that after this, she was stripped and raped by Subodh, Sushil and Chaudhary. Her husband, Avtar, who had also reached there, allegedly forced her to have oral sex with him. She was then taken to Pragati Maidan by Dimple and Subodh who warned her to not report the incident to the police. When she reached the Supreme Court area, however, she spotted a PCR van and narrated the incident to the officials. 'A case has been registered under the relevant sections  of IPC,' said the police. Chaudhary, has however said that the woman was trying to frame them and has accused the woman of having filed several false cases of rape at different police stations. A police source has  confirmed  this to be true.
