BJP’s chief ministerial candidate Harsh Vardhan on Wednesday announced a dedicated Delhi Women Protection Force (DWPF) to ensure security of women and Atal Yuva Commission to address the grievances of youths if voted to power. Blaming the Congress government for deserting Delhi youths, Vardhan presented a road map for skill development, education and employment for youths in the city.

‘The Congress government has provided only 11,000 jobs in the last 15 years including 8,000 drivers recruited before CWG. There are still over 11 lakh youths registered in the unemployment register,’ said Vardhan adding the government has failed to provide skill development and better education to Delhi youths. He was speaking during the launch of party’s media campaign titled ‘das din, das irade (10 days, 10 visions)’ in which the party will take up one issue on each day.

He also promised a solar energy panel at each house in the city to ensure power supply and also provide facility to sell additional power to grids. ‘Our government will inculcate a culture of meritocracy and hard work and take all measures to provide to all our young citizens, world-class education, training and jobs to enable them to be proud Indians and world citizens,’ added Vardhan.

‘We will develop pollution-free green factories to generate employment for youths,’ he added. Vardhan also promised 15 new colleges, an online university on the name of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee in collaboration with a foreign university and more professional institutions for youths in the city. ‘We will open our sport stadiums for schools and colleges which are gathering dust due to lack of vision in the Congress government,’ he added.
