Two separate first information reports (FIR) have been registered in Mehrauli police station. One by Sukhdev Nambhari, chairman of Uttarakhand police minority commission and the other by Hardeep Singh’s manager. The FIR made by Nambhari questions the murder of Hardeep Singh Chadha. As per the complaint, it has been alleged that Ponty Chadha has not killed his younger brother, Hardeep Singh.
According to the FIR lodged by Nambhari, at 9.30 am, he was hanging out at 21 Central Drive in DLF Chhattarpur, the farmhouse where the family lives. At 12 noon, they both went to 42 Central Drive in Ponty’s Land Cruiser along with the driver and Narender, the security manager of Ponty.
After reaching the farmhouse, that was recently won by Hardeep Singh Chadha in a court case, it was found that the main gate of the farm house was locked from inside. Narender went out of the car and asked for the keys from the security guard. The guard made a call to Hardeep and informed him about the arrival of Ponty along with his gunmen.
‘At 12.30 pm, Hardeep came with his PSO and a gun man. The moment Hardeep Singh came out of his car, he shot at Narender who was standing near the gate. When I and Ponty were about to get out of the car from different directions, Hardeep Singh came near Ponty and shot him. To escape I laid down on the ground,’ Nanbhari said in the FIR.
He also added that, after shooting Ponty, Hardeep went to the security guard room at gate number three. ‘To save me, Sachin Tyagi, my PSO opened fire on the gunman and the PSO of Hardeep. There was a gun battle between the security personnels of both the brothers.
‘Finding Ponty in a pool of blood, I along with the driver rushed him to Fortis hospital in Vasant Kunj. Whereas, Narender was taken to Medanta hospital. Ponty was declared dead by the doctors. However, Narender has been under going treatment,’ Nambhir told police.
A senior police official said that on the basis of the complaint made by Nambhir, a case has been registered. The other FIR has been registered by Hardeep’s manager against Ponty’s men on charges of tresspassing and murder. ‘Call records of all the detained person along with Ponty and Hardeep are being traced to find out the exact sequence of the incident,’ the official added.
