Singh said this after he decorated about 80 Central Reserve Police Force jawans and officers, some posthumous, with gallantry medals on the occasion of its 'Valour day' event which is held every year this day to mark the gallant action of its men at Sardar post along the Indo-Pakistan border in Gujarat in 1965.

"I know CRPF personnel work in some of the most difficult areas (of the country). I have asked your Director General to take me to the most difficult area where you are working. And not only that," he said.

Gets stuck in lift, scales wall to be out

Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Thursday got stuck in a lift and later had to climb a stool to scale the wall, sending his security officials into a tizzy for some moments. The incident happened when Singh went to visit a Central Reserve Police Force complex in South Delhi.
