Vedanta, the global, diversified natural resources company has appointed Pallavi Joshi Bakhru as Senior Vice President & Group Head Taxation, effective November 2, 2015. In this role, Bakhru will oversee Group Taxation covering both Direct and Indirect Tax functions.
Bakhru is a Chartered Accountant and has over 25 years of post-qualification experience in tax advisory and compliance. Prior to joining Vedanta, she was a Partner and Head of Tax at Grant Thornton India with focus on inbound and outbound structuring advisory including regulatory compliance for both Indian and foreign investors.
