Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) minister on Thursday said that honest officers too exist in the system. ‘Earlier I felt everyone is corrupt, but now I realise that many officers are honest,’ said Somnath Bharti, law minister of Delhi government while addressing members of sales tax bar association.

Bharti admitted that all the officers are not corrupt and they all are invited to join the movement for better governance and transparency. ‘When I was practicing in courts couple of month back, I had a feeling that everyone is corrupt. However, coming on the other side, it is good to realise that many are honest.’

He also said that the complexities in the Value Added Tax (VAT) system need to be simplified. ‘We have to make some policy so that hard earned money of our businessmen in Delhi does not get wasted as tax policy gives us revenue,’ he said.
