The Uttar Pradesh government has assured to look afresh into the suspension of young IAS officer Durga Shakti Nagpal after the UP IAS association registered its protest over her arbitrary suspension.

A UP IAS association delegation, comprising of a dozen officers led by secretary Parthasarathy Sen Sharma, on Monday met the acting chief secretary Alok Ranjan and registered protest over the suspension of the 2009-batch IAS officer posted as sub-divisional magistrate at Gautam Budh Nagar (Noida).

Incidentally, Alok Ranjan is the president of UP IAS association. He, however, received the delegation in the capacity of the chief secretary, it is officially told.

A lot of hue and cry was raised by the bureaucracy and opposition parties over the suspension of Nagpal who had cracked the whip on the mining mafia of Noida and had lodged as many as 22 FIRs in a week. Her suspension smacked of political motives and business interests of the mafia.
Alok Ranjan said he heard the views of the UP IAS association and assured to put up the matter before chief minister Akhilesh Yadav.

The CM had defended the action while talking to reporters in Banglore and said it was an administrative decision. Parthasarathy Sen Sharma said the UP
IAS association was satisfied with the outcome of the meeting.
