Uttarakhand chief minister Harish Rawat said the state government is planning to set up a committee to coordinate between different minority communities in the state so that their problems could be addressed in a better way.

Addressing a mixed delegation of minority communities here on Sunday, Rawat said Urdu and Punjabi academies in the state will be activated and their members will soon be appointed.

He said the state government will offer all possible help if an NGO working for minorities comes forward to set up coaching institutes to prepare students from the minority communities for competitive examinations.

Officials have been asked to implement schemes meant for the minorities with sensitivity, the chief minister said.

Later, at a function Rawat said the goals of social justice can be achieved only if we work with the vision of inclusive development and help the deprived sections of the society join the process.
