When there is a countrywide uproar over the gang-rape on NH-91 in Bulandshahr district, two more incidents of rape including a gang-rape in a moving car have been reported on Noida-Greater Noida Expressway. The police have registered cases at the respective police stations and have arrested a few persons in this regard.
According to the cops, the first incident was reported on Tuesday night when a 19-year-old girl approached Kasna police. The girl, in her complaint, said four of her friends took her out in a car from a location in South Delhi towards Greater Noida, molested her first and then gang-raped her.
They then dropped her at a secluded place threatening her with dire consequences if she approached the police. She made a PCR call and a complaint was filed at Kasna police following which the four accused were arrested. “As per the report, four youth had allegedly taken the girl in an Indigo car, molested her, thrashed and gang-raped her in the moving car. The police, after filing a case under appropriate sections, have arrested all the four accused and are interrogating them. The girl has also been sent for medical check up,” said a policeman investigating the case.
In another incident, a minor living in Greater Noida’s Delta area was raped late evening on Tuesday. As per the complaint, the accused barged inside her house and raped her at knife point. The matter was reported to Surajpur police station and the accused have been arrested. “We have registered a case and have arrested the accused,” said an official.
