Two men robbed of cash worth Rs 1 crore

Two unidentified bike borne men robbed two employees of a money transfer company which is run by a businessman near his office at gun-point in Sarai Rohilla area of North Delhi on Wednesday. Police are trying to identify the accused persons after taking statements from the two employees.

According to the police, the incident took place at around 4.30 pm on Wednesday when the two employees of the businessman, identified as Sachin Bansal were heading out of their office with a suitcase carrying cash worth Rs 1 crore. 

They were travelling in a scooty when they were intercepted by the two robbers on a motorcycle. The robbers armed with a country-made pistol fired two rounds in the air in an attempt to intimidate them. One of them then snatched the suitcase and fled from the spot.

A case of robbery has been registered at the Sarai Rohilla police station under relevant sections of the IPC against unidentified accused persons. Police have started investigation and are trying to analyse the CCTV footage to ascertain the identity of the accused persons.
