Two men, in their twenties have been arrested by Delhi police for stabbing a 20-year-old boy last Monday in a market in Badarpur. The victim was one of the accused person’s brother-in-law. The accused wanted to teach deceased a lesson for his repeated interference in married life.
The accused have been identified as Satish (28) and Sonu (24). On 8 December, a person identified as Arjun was stabbed with a knife a near Molarband Extension in Badarpur. According to Lata Kumari, deceased’s sister, she had gone shopping with her brother on the day of the incident. “I was buying something at a shop while my brother was waiting for his friend on the road. In the meantime, three men on a motorcycle came there and started abusing her brother”, she told police.
When she went to the spot, she found her brother-in-law Satish, along with his two accomplices stabbed Arjun and fled the spot.
Arjun was later rushed to AIIMS Trauma Centre where he was declared brought dead.
During investigation, it was revealed that the complainant as well as suspected persons are relatives. The police teams conducted raids at all possible hideouts of the accused including Badarpur, Jaitpur, Azadpur in Delhi, Bullandshahar in UP and Faridabad, Palwal and Ballabhgarh in Haryana.
After inputs from local intelligence and tip-offs, Satish was finally held from Faridabad Sector 37. During sustained interrogation, he disclosed that Lata was married to his brother Phool Singh. “Arjun constantly interfered in my brother’s married life, due to which I got annoyed”, he confessed before the police.
