Two arrested for stalking

Delhi police have arrested two persons for allegedly stalking two Manipuri women in Mahipalpur area of south Delhi on Monday. According to the police, the accused have been identified as Vikas, alias Vicky and Johnny. The accused hail from Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh.

‘Vikas works with a five star hotel situated nearby, while Johnny, who is said to be his relative, was jobless. Both were sharing a rented room,’ said the police. In their complaint to the police, the two Manipuri women, who work in a shopping mall in Gurgaon, said that the two boys used to stalk them by peeping into their bedrooms.

‘The women alleged that the accused were ogling at them through a hole drilled in the window,’ said the police. A case under relevant provisions was registered at the Vasant Kunj police station and the two accused have been arrested.

Police said that the accused also used to knock on the main door of the house and run away before the door was opened. The women came to know about the secret peephole late on Monday.

The victims initially discussed the matter with their friends and then approached the police.  A senior police officer said that the possibility of filming video recordings of intimate moments by the accused cannot be ruled out. Further investigations are underway.
