A day after Delhi Police found decomposed bodies of a 50-year-old woman and her two daughters, they are probing the case from multiple angles. The bodies were found in their house in Brahampuri area of North-east Delhi on Sunday.

Investigators said that the involvement of lady’s step-sons behind the murder cannot be ruled out yet. Meanwhile, senior police officers of the North-east district informed that they had not made any breakthrough in the case. District crime team as well as FSL team investigated the spot for further evidence.

The deceased were Siara, (50), and her daughters Mehrunisha( 19) and Shabnam (9).On Sunday evening, Mohd Arif, neighbour who made a call to the PCR, said he had gone to the masjid right next to Siara’s home when he along with other locals observed a pungent smell emanating from her house.

Talking to Millennium Post, Arif said, “The smell had been coming from Siara’s house from past three days. First we thought that a rat had died and got the sewer cleared, however, the smell still remained. Later, at around 6pm on Sunday, while we were going to the masjid, the pungent smell followed even there and out of suspicion we decided to inform to the police.”

Arif added, “It’s scary how three of them were killed in their house. If such an incident could happen in our lane, I am afraid, it can happen to anyone. All houses are next to each other and it is unimaginable how we were unaware about their death.”
