Tourism festival kicks off at Garden of Five Senses

Delhi Transport minister Ramakant Goswami, on Friday, inaugurated the 26th tourism festival at Garden of Five Senses near Saiyad-ul-Ajaib. On the occasion, Mexican Ambassador to India, Jaime Nualart, was also present.

Goswami also laid the foundation of Labna arch, as a testimony to years of artistic, political and economic exchanges between India and Mexico. Goswami then released a colourful souvenir of Garden Tourism Festival and Dilli Patrika Paryatan Prasar, on Delhi Tourism’s promotion endeavours.

The souvenir is a compact compilation that documents 25  years of the festival, giving a glimpse in an interesting pictorial presentation, especially for visitors who are new to the event. Hindi Patrika is a new initiative and is planned in a series that would make readers aware of the rich heritage, cuisine and culture of the city. The first day of the festival saw cultural performances by Sahitya Kala Parishad members.
