The tweet added, ‘Who are these media houses?’
AAP also claimed in a press conference held at its Connaught Place office that the CD, which showed its candidates allegedly accepting a donation without verification, was doctored. A team led by AAP leader Yogendra Yadav examining the footage said that the CD containing the 14-hour-long footage had a ‘lot of problems.’ Yadav alleged that Anuranjan Jha of Media Sarkar of not being truthful. The video had been edited and shown in a way to put AAP leaders in poor light. No conclusion can be drawn on the basis of the CD shown, said Yadav.
‘We have examined the 14 hours of footage, no evidence were found against AAP leaders.
We clarify that every candidate is clean and meet party standards. The CD was tampered. The voice over had no relation with the footage. It seems that some journalists have turned out to be agents of political parties,’ said Yadav.
‘This sting operation has not been done by Anuranjan Jha in the interest of this country but just as a middle man for the Congress and BJP,’ said AAP leader Manish Sisodia. AAP also uploaded the 14 hours unedited raw footage of this sting operation on its official website and social media platforms to make their stand clear among the people.
‘We want the nation to know about the reality and motive behind this alleged sting operation,’ said
Yadav.
