On the completion of 100 days of President’s rule in Delhi on Wednesday, Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung asked nine departmental heads of Delhi government to submit a report on the governance. The detailed report will be sent to the President of India. Jung visited the Delhi Secretariat and called all the babus for a review meeting. He asked the officials to continue raids on defaulters across the city and asked for registration of FIRs against them.

In a major decision, he asked the transport department to construct a new building at the Anand Vihar Inter State Bus Terminal (ISBT). The department was also ordered to improve basic amenities at all the ISBTs and zonal transport offices in Delhi.

‘The LG also directed the department to improve lighting at the bus queue shelters,’ a senior Delhi government official said in a statement. Jung also directed the department of trade and taxes to go for maximum utilisation of information and technology and provide online tax return facilities with digital signatures.

‘This will prevent inconvenience to people and make the form filling facilities available round the clock. The department was also directed to take strict action against the tax evaders and defaulters,’ the official added.
