A shopkeeper in West Delhi’s Nangloi area was shot dead allegedly by two men for resisting a robbery bid on his shop, police said on Sunday.
The incident happened last night when 45-year-old Naresh Sharma, a resident of Kamruddin Nagar in Nangloi, was shutting his shop.
‘Suddenly, two persons with gun entered his shop and asked him to open the almirah in which money was kept,’ a senior police official said.
When Sharma resisted, one of them shot him in the abdomen and escaped after taking away all the cash.
The shopkeeper was rushed to a hospital wher he was declared brought dead, the official said.
