Various literary programmes are also held in this annual function including the Akademi Exhibition, wherein, all the award winning titles from all the 24 languages since 1954  are exhibited apart from the photo exhibition where photos covering the poignant moments of Sahitya Akademi’s history are displayed.

As we all know India is a land of diversity. Different Regions. Different Religions. Different Cultures. Different Languages.

The ‘Festival of Letters’ is a much awaited national event which will see the congregation of many literary greats in New Delhi including poets like Javed Akhtar, Subodh Sarkar, Anil Boro, Sitaram Sapolia, Ambika Dutt, Ramdev Tarachandani, Radhakant Thakur and novelist like CN Ramachandran, Satish Kalashekhar, Temsula Ao, Katyani Vidmahe etc.

The event will include a function to award the best books written in the 24 recognised languages, a photo exhibition that covers all the best moments of Sahitya Akademi’s history, the Samvatsar Lecture which is delivered by an eminent scholar and this year it is going to be by Malyali poet ONV Kurup.

There will also be a poets’ meet and seminars.
