Monsoon weather can wreak havoc on your hair, but worry not. Homemade remedies can keep your tresses healthy and shinning, say experts.
It is important to avoid dryness and here are some tips for monsoon hair care:
Mix two eggs, two tablespoon of curd, juice of half lemon and few drops of honey and spread it evenly, starting from root to tip. Wash it off after half-an-hour to get a smooth and manageable texture.
Since hair is made of protein, ensure that you maintain a balanced protein diet. A portion of good seasonal fruits, green leafy vegetables, cereals and coconut water in your diet must be included. Try and pull together your hair in a soft band rather than using any metallic clips as they tend to break your hair.
Don't go for any kind of chemical treatment on hair during monsoon as the chemicals used on the hair react adversely to the rain water leading to severe damages. Dermatologists also point out the benefits of vinegar in this season - Mix two tablespoons of vinegar in lukewarm water and rinse hair with hit. It helps in giving hair the perfect shine and volume.
Talking about how to take care of your skin this season, Blossom Kochhar emphasises on the Sun Protection Factor (SPF). Those just commuting between home and office should use sunscreen with SPF 15. The SPF level should be 30 for those who stay out longer. Kochhar also shares quick tips on how to protect the skin from the weather's harshness.
Take a tomato and crush it. Then take multani mitti and mix them. Apply the mixture on the face and leave it on for 15 minutes, rinse off. It is good for those who have open pores.
If you have a dry skin, paste made of honey and banana will be good. However, people with oily skin should use only honey. Watermelon is very good. If you mix it with milk powder and put in on the skin, it will cool the skin.
As skin infections are on the rise during monsoon, use an anti-fungal powder on all body folds to avoid any fungal infection. Keep your skin dry.
