You are me and I am you. Isn’t it obvious that we are 'inter-are'? ,this saying by Buddhist monk Thich Nhat Hanh brings to us the strange relation of dependency amongst all the human beings. Where life is not just being black and white, Kavita Jaiswal’s solo abstract art exhibition The Full Space exhibited at the Art Heritage Gallery explores the dependency theory of spirituality in her latest show.
Truly inspired by Dalai Lama and his teachings, Kavita Jaiswal brings her painted images on deep edge canvas, using acrylic and sands and rice paper. The image comes across with a freshness as light as air, free flowing and un- inhibited. The acrylic though frozen in time feels in constant motion keeping with the constant motion of the Earth. Thus conquering ‘the full space’ in her canvas. To add to the motion of her canvas sounds from the universe create the perfect backdrop for the still image on canvas.
The white looks beautiful because of the presence of the black, the black looks elegant with the vibrant effect of the white and the grey shades just co-exist peacefully when the black and white merges without much conflict. Kavita’s work of art beautifully project the moment of time that has been beautifully captured to be the present and static forever.
An exponent of contemporary Abstract Expressionism, Kavita Jaiswal has been working for over 30 years. She was recently awarded the prestigious Fellowship for Distinguished Achievements and Life time contributions in Fine Arts , Constituted By HIFA, Awarded by the Eminent Jury headed by K R Subanna, Chairman Lalit Kala Akademi New Delhi in 2013.
