The doctor who performed the post-mortem of Aarushi Talwar revealed in the special court of CBI on Tuesday that he had been pressurised by the Talwars and their relatives to cover up the case and prepare a report as per their directions. However he maintained that he didn’t buckle under pressure and did do his job properly.
Giving his statement as the fifth witness in the case, the doctor Sunil Dohre said that Rajesh Talwar and his younger brother Dinesh Talwar also tried to mislead him in picking up samples for examination. ‘Dinesh Talwar also asked me to talk to someone called Dr Dogra which I bluntly refused,’ Sunil Dohre told the court. ‘I told them that I knew how to do my job,’ Dohre added.
Giving the court details of the post-mortem report, Dogre reiterated his findings. ‘A white discharge was found on her private parts which was not from her body. She seems to have been habituated to having sex,’ revealed Dohre in the court. ‘The victim, Aarushi Talwar, died after being hit by a heavy blunt object on her head. After that her neck was slit by a sharp surgical instrument and her forehead was hit with a hockey stick like object,’ Dohre said.
‘Dohre was subjected to chief examination but cross-examination will be performed on Wednesday as Rajesh Talwar’s advocate was not prepared for it,’ said R K Saini, prosecutor of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
The dentist couple is facing trial in the special CBI court of Ghaziabad for the Aarushi-Hemraj double murder case in 2008. Nupur is currently lodged in Dasna jail of Ghaziabad while Rajesh is out on bail.
