We’ve fallen in love with many a food mash–up in the past – but the latest culinary hybrid just earned a special place in our hearts (and, obviously, our stomachs). Part sushi and part burger, the sushi burger is all kinds of amazing.
Sushi burgers, which basically consist of burger buns made out of rice and can be made with anything from traditional beef patties to region–specific favourites like tofu and roe–topped fish, aren’t necessarily a new, new thing. When you have a sushi burger of your own and are getting ready to dig in—you’ll want to proceed with caution.
These bad boys can definitely get a bit messy, and some sushi burger enthusiasts recommend sticking to a fork and knife or a pair of chopsticks instead of trying to eat these like real burgers.
