Action star Sylvester Stallone was blasted by African-American celebrities like Samuel L Jackson and Ava DuVernay, for not thanking his Creed co-star Michael B Jordan and director Ryan Coogler after he won the Golden Globe for best supporting actor in a film.
In his acceptance speech, the 69-year-old actor thanked a lot of people but forgot to mention the name of these two during the broadcast, said The Hollywood Reporter. Jackson took a dig at the Rambo star on Twitter. “#waitwaitwait, Ryan Coogler and Michael B Jordan, Thanks for acting with me!!! Loved Sly but,” he wrote. “Well. I’m gonna go ahead and thank RYAN COOGLER + MICHAEL B JORDAN since no one else is. Thank you, brothers.
Good work. #smh #goldenglobes,” “Selma” director Ava DuVernay tweeted. Stallone came back on stage during the break, right after his award, to thank Jordan plus Coogler and Jackson was fast to consider that.
