SAIL Archery Cadets to represent India in int'l meet

Two cadets of SAIL Eklavya Archery Academy, Indrachand Swami and Nomula Lavanya have been selected 
to represent India in the International Archery Championship.

  After a tough competition among 39 well seeded archers from all over the country Indrachand wrests the 3rd position and has been selected for the 4-member men team in Modern Recurve category. The team will represent India in the World Cup Stage-1, 

World Cup Stage-2 Archery Championship going to held at Shanghai [China] from May 16 - 21 and Antalya [Turkey] from June 6 - 11 this year respectively.

 In Modern Recurve category for women N Lavanya has been selected for the women team to represent country in the World Cup 
stage-3 to be held at Salt Lake City [USA] from June 20 - 25 this year. 

The selection competition was tough as country's 21 top ranking cadets were in fray.

 Both the cadets have been forked out on the basis of their commendable performance in Selection Trial held at New Delhi during April 15-17. Along with Indrachand and Lavanya, two more archers, Snehal Divaker and Kamal Kishore of SAIL Archery Academy took part in the selection trial. In 2016 Indrachand won Gold Medal in ASIA Cup Stage -1 and Bronze Medal in Asia Cup Stage -2. N Lavanya also participated in World Cup Stage-1 in March 2015.   Their coach Rajendra Guiya and Kalapna Guiya toiled hard to hone their skill to the highest level for 
the competition.
