‘The support base of Congress has grown from strength to strength, while BJP candidates are in much difficulty and the public support for AAP has completely vanished,’ Delhi Congress president Arvinder Singh told reporters, while making the March 30 rally’s announcement at a press conference here.
Congress has completed the first phase of its election campaign in all the seven Parliamentary constituencies of Delhi. The second phase will start with rallies and meetings, he said.
Gandhi’s rally is scheduled for 30 March at 4 pm at Ajmal Khan Park in Karol Bagh in the New Delhi Parliamentary constituency.
Union minister Krishna Tirath, who was among the many senior Congress leaders present at the press conference, said, ‘This election is only about Congress. There is no other party or no other candidate who can talk about any policy which is better than Congress.’
Tirath said the party has got a good leadership under Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi.
‘Congress has always thought about every section of society be it farmers, labourers, women or professionals’, said Tirath.
