The Congress president concluded her programme by laying the foundation stone for Rae Bareli-Maharajganj- Akbarganj track of 47 kilometres at Maharajganj. The new railway track will connect Rae Bareli with Lucknow -Sultanpur rail route. Railways would spent around Rs 256 crore for laying the new broad gauge track.
