A 26-year-old soldier was on Friday arrested for shooting thrice at a woman teacher here after their break-off, police said. Manjeet Singh, a resident of Mirzapur village near Pataudi, was arrested from Rewari by the Crime Branch.
A private school teacher Deepika (24), was shot at by Manjeet Singh on Thursday morning at Bilaspur Chowk on Delhi-Jaipur-Mumbai NH-8, a police officer said. Her condition is stated to be critical. Police said Manjeet Singh, a sepoy posted at Hisar, had relations with the <g data-gr-id="13">victim</g> but they broke off two years ago.
Manjeet Singh came on a bike, with his face covered, and shot thrice at the victim, the officer said, adding that the accused was being questioned.
