With Najeeb Jung taking over as the Lt. Governor of Delhi, Jamia Millia Islamia’s pro vice chancellor SM Sajid was on Friday designated as officiating vice-chancellor.
Sajid will perform the duties of the vice chancellor till a successor to Jung is appointed.
A professor in the department of social work at Jamia, Sajid served as the registrar of the university, and was appointed the pro-vice-chancellor in June this year.
