Sutlej Jal Vidyut Nigam (SJVN) has reported a 23.53 <g data-gr-id="22">per cent</g> in net income to Rs 920.35 crore for the first quarter on <g data-gr-id="17">increase</g> in installed capacity of hydropower projects. The company had reported a net income of Rs 739.08 crore in the corresponding period last year, SJVN said in a statement.
While the company's Profit After Tax (PAT) increased 14.17 <g data-gr-id="11">per cent</g> to Rs 484.43 crore from Rs 424.29 crore, the PBT (Profit Before Tax) grew 15.12 per cent to Rs 594.47 crore from Rs 516.37 crore.
During the last financial year, SJVN commissioned 412 MW Rampur Hydro Power Station in Himachal and 47.6 MW Khirwire Wind Power Project in Maharashtra and there was increase of 22.19 per cent in electricity generation from its flagship 1,500 MW Nathpa Jhakri Hydro Power Station. CMD R N Misra said during the last quarter SJVN entered into a JV for <g data-gr-id="14">implementation</g> of 600 MW Kholongchhu Hydro Electric Project in Bhutan.
