Six persons killed after massive squall

Atleast six persons were killed in the city on Friday as a massive thunder storm lashed the capital crippling traffic, metro services and flight operations as well as hitting power supply.

Anu (17) died after a tin sheet slit his throat and five others were injured after a wall collapsed in East district. Three others were injured in North East district. Three persons injured in Nizamuddin at South East Delhi. Two died, including a girl, who was returning home after tuitions and two persons were injured after a wall collapsed in South West district. 

One died in Uttam Nagar area as well. A car driver, identified as Chattarpal, died after tree fell on his car in Central district. 

Another youth, identified as Younis, died after a tree fell on him in North District.

The storm affected northeast Haryana and the NCR as well but parts of east Delhi, Noida and Ghaziabad were affected the most.
