A group of six armed men robbed a Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) leader of his car, licensed gun, and cash near Hind village on Saharanpur Highway, following which three of them were arrested, police said on Sunday.
The incident took place on Saturday night when district BSP Chief Arvind Kumar was on his way to Bhawan from Shamli in his car with some party workers to participate in a meeting, Dy SP Satpal Singh said.
Six robbers intercepted his car, Singh said, adding, they robbed Kumar of his vehicle, two cellphones and cash and fled.
