‘Kapil Sibal only remembers Chandni Chowk in election season. After winning the elections, BJP will ensure scientific development of the area without disturbing its historical character,’ Vardhan told local residents during his campaign in Chandni Chowk.
Harsh Vardhan on Monday started his padyatra from the Sadar Bazar area and solicited their support on Monday. He met office bearers of the Confederation of Sadar Bazar Traders Association and learnt about their problems. Vardhan assured traders and the local residents that BJP will modernise Sadar Bazar without changing its basic features.
His padyatra started from Qutab Road. It passed through crockery market, pan mandi, electric market, sports market, bartan market, gali no. 11 and covered the entire Bazar.
Local traders and citizens welcomed Harsh Vardhan with garlands. He reiterated that this time Narendra Modi will become the Prime Minister of India. ‘We have to make all BJP candidates victorious by a record number of votes’, he said.
The members of the confederation apprised Harsh Vardhan about their own problems and problems related to trade sector. ‘Local citizens and traders complained that the Congress MP Kapil Sibal did not frame any scheme for the development of Sadar Bazar. He never visited this area to know about local problems. The traders know about his fraud and false promises. They shall ensure his defeat and take revenge for the plight of Sadar Bazar’, Vardhan said.
Vardhan told the people of Sadar Bazar that he does not believe in making big promises. He has promised that the party will ensure scientific development of the area without disturbing its historical character. ‘Local traders and citizens shall be partners in framing plans for development and solving the problems’, he added.
‘Providing employment to the youth will be a major priority of the party’, he said. He further said that the people of the area should not seriously take false promises made by candidates from the Aam Aadmi Party. ‘This party stands only on falsehood and its secret agenda is to split the country. They believe in anarchy and lawlessness’, he said.
