Station House Officer (SHO) of Madhu Vihar police station, East district, on Tuesday has been directed to the Police Lines for dereliction of duty after a noted robber allegedly fled from his police custody while he was being taken along with the police team for a raid in the area, said senior police officers of the East district. According to senior police officials of the East District, SHO Raj Kumar Saha has been sent to the Police Lines.
“SHO Madhu Vihar has been sent to Police Lines because one of the robbers escaped from his custody on Tuesday. The robber allegedly was taken in an auto-rickshaw for one of the raids conducted in Madhu Vihar area. One of the cops was holding his hand and that was when he freed himself and jumped out of the vehicle and fled,” said sources.
