‘Sheila Dikshit sanctioned Rs 234 cr for development work’

The Parliamentary Secretary to the Chief Minister, Mukesh Sharma, on Sunday claimed at a public meeting that the chief minister has given a special sanction for release of Rs 234 crore for developmental work in his constituency.
 
This was stated by Sharma in a public meeting attended by RWA representatives, office bearers of the unauthorised colonies federation under Uttam Nagar segment and active party workers at Mohan Garden. He added that Uttam Nagar would become the first segment in the capital to have sewer lines all over the constituency and hence a role model for other segments in Delhi.

Sharma stated that the completion of laying sewer lines would go a long in ensuring a healthy atmosphere in the area resulting in eradication of mosquito menace and related diseases.

The investment of Rs 234 crore would yield benefit of thousands of crore in terms of the healthy life and longevity of the residents, he added. He announced that chief minister Sheila Dikshit has many other plans in pipeline for Uttam Nagar segment. She is keen to announce herself in a mammoth Vikas Rally to be organised near Gurdwara Road, Mohan Garden, in a newly developed nine acre ground to accommodate lakhs of people.
