Tell us about yourselves. How did you start off?
I wanted to be a commercial pilot initially but when I started thinking about it seriously I became scared. And that made me think of music. I started to play music occasionally at friend's parties and everyone loved it. They often suggested that I take this hobby seriously and that's how I became a DJ by default. Now, music gives me a high.
What was the first big break for you?
I still feel my first milestone was my first remix Shake it Daddy mix.
How would you define your musical philosophy?
I have always loved the songs of Kishore Da. He was not only a versatile singer, but his songs had a uniqueness which none of the singers of that time had. Be it his Dil Kya Kare, Chalte Chalte or Pyar Manga Hai, I have remixed so many of his songs. All these remixes gained a lot of popularity because they provided music lovers with a melodious combination of Kishore Da's songs in present day club music. But one thing I would like to clear here is that remixing Kishore Da's songs is one of the most difficult things for any DJ because the songs of those times were slow and remixing it with fast music, is no easy job.
In our country, how easy (or difficult) is it to make a mark in the music/DJing scene? What do you think about the main issues are?
We seriously lack good DJs in India. Although if one has the passion for it, India is the place. We have everything from music lovers, to good party scenario everything. All India requires is quality and not quantity.
Tell us a bit about your music, what do you think defines you?
The music that defines me best is Bollywood plus EDM. That’s the music I love to play for my music listeners.
What/Who inspires you?
Renowned DJ’s like Tiesto, Armin Van Vuuren, Paul Van Dyk inspired me to become a DJ.
Tell us about your best tracks
It’s like asking the mother who is your favourite child. It won’t be justified if I pick any one or two as my favourites as the same amount of hard work goes in to recreate all the songs.
What songs top your playlist right now?
Currently, its Baby Doll from Ragini MMS 2 and Hungama ho gaya from Queen - very peppy ones and is loved by all.
What suggestions/advice would you have for newbies in music?
Go and follow your passion. Have faith in yourself and the world is yours.
How has Delhi been for you?
Delhi has been awesome for me. I have performed here. opened luxurious night club RSVP and launching another club shortly.
