Union Minister Bandaru Dattatreya from Telangana and party’s national secretary Siddharth Nath Singh also attended the meetings. All party top brass from the respective states were also present in the meetings.
The respective meetings were held to chalk out the further strategy to strengthen the party’s organisational structure in both the states. In Andhra Pradesh, the saffron party shares an alliance with ruling TDP, whereas in Telangana, the party has only five seats among all 119 Assembly Constituencies. “Our aim is to chalk out the further roadmap and implement all the government schemes there for public welfare,” Singh said.
He said that the respective state units have made their visual work presentation in past two years and presented to the party president. “As the opposition claimed that there has been no work done since the bifurcation, we will showcase the visual documents to the public through mobile vans to increase the awareness,” he added.
However, sources said that the meeting was called for sorting out the differences and the murky spat between the two states. Even the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana Governor ESL Narasimhan met the two Chief Ministers on Thursday and sought cooperation in sorting out differences between the two Telugu states.
Reportedly, the government officials of both states met to sort out the Krishna River water issue. Telangana and Andhra Pradesh irrigation officials have agreed with the Central government decision to constitute an experts committee to monitor the Krishna river waters and related issues. Apart from the water issues, various other issues triggered he ugly spat between the two states.
