Four policemen were among seven people killed in a bomb blast on Monday in Pakistan’s Peshawar city. Police said the blast targeted a function organised to distribute anti-polio vaccination material in Badabair village, the media reported. The injured were admitted to the Lady Reading hospital in Peshawar. The police cordoned off the entire area and launched a search operation. Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has strongly condemned the bomb blast. Sharif also paid tribute to the security personnel who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty.
