‘Art not only imitates nature, but also completes its deficiencies,’ says Aristotle and taking that idea forward, a gallery in the Capital is providing art lovers quite a treat because Sarath KS's artwork claims to completely justifies this famous quote. The artist's solo show is on at the Art Spice Gallery.
This exhibition will display around 30 (oil works) artworks of various sizes and created by Sarath between 2007 and 2014.
Sarath is very much inspired by nature and ordinary people, their lives, their aspirations and thoughts. People like us can draw inspiration from his paintings and we can easily relate with his artwork. He’s very particular about his work. He makes a proper plan before starting any large artwork, even the preliminary sketch is done only after planning. For small artworks, he goes step by step rather than constructing the entire idea. Initially, a single image is created and then other objects are created. And finally the relation between the two is established. Sarath gives a lot of emphasis to opposites and paradoxes.
Sarath has introduced two new forms of art - Two Way Art and Sound Art. The Two way Art: It is a new form of art in which two different ideas are shown together by changing the arrangement or alignment of work.
Sound Art is still lying at a development stage. It is based on the concept of introducing sounds to change the subject of painting in a way. It is contrary to the Two Way Art.
He has also designed products and ads for print media. Though he’s currently working as a civil engineer in a private firm yet his passion for art and creativity is taking him to new levels of fame and popularity.
It is not every day you get a chance to see and feel such work of art which will transform your figments of imagination onto canvas. Head over and enjoy this feast for your eyes and leave with a memory for a lifetime.
