Rs 300 cr allocated for development of unauthorised colonies

The AAP government on Monday day allocated Rs 300 crore to Delhi State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd (DSIIDC) for carrying out development works in unauthorised colonies.

“Works for constructing roads and drainage is being carried out on a war-footing and shall be completed in financial year 2016-17,” said Manish Sisodia while presenting the budget in the Assembly. He said any additional funds required over and above this budgetary allocation for timely completion shall be arranged by DSIIDC either from its own resources or as loan from financial institutions.

Delhi government will repay the loan later. Furthermore, for completion of ongoing works in unauthorised colonies by the other executing agencies, Delhi government proposed an amount of Rs 190 crore.
