Delhi Police Commissioner BS Bassi on Wednesday announced a cash reward of Rs 1 lakh for anyone giving information about the killers of a police constable.
Dharam Pal, 26, was killed by two people in Jafrabad area 27 September while on duty. The policeman was conducting arms verification in the area when the attack took place.
‘The commissioner of police, Delhi, has announced a cash reward of Rs 1 lakh with immediate effect and shall stand good till the arrest of the accused person(s) for anyone who may give information to trace out or render any help to arrest the accused persons involved in murder of Dharam Pal,’ the statement said. The policeman’s service pistol was also taken away, the statement said.
He was shot dead at point-blank range by two persons in a busy market area in Maujpur, Northeast Delhi. He was a 2010 batch constable and was staying at the barracks attached to the police station. Earlier, he was posted at Bhajanpura police station.
