Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday announced Rs 1 crore financial assistance to the family of CRPF jawan Narottam Das, who was killed in a Maoist attack in Bihar.
Kejriwal along with Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia attended the cremation of Narottam at his village in Najafgarh and assured his wife of all support, including a job.
Narottam lost his life in a landmine blast at Gaya district of Bihar by suspected Maoists on February 24.
After meeting the bereaved family members, the Chief Minister announced the compensation of Rs 1 crore for the family of the martyr jawan.
